I created novel tools for assessing trainees' clinical documentation and implemented a documentation curriculum for internal medicine residents. I am interested in ways to improve how we educate trainees and providers within medicine. In addition to caring for patients, I’m also involved in medical education research. I served as the president of the National Med-Peds Residents’ Association (NMPRA) during the 2015-2016 academic year, and I was a member of the executive board from 2014-2017. This award is given in recognition of aspirational work in the domains of patient care, teamwork, education or research. I was honored to receive the inaugural peer-selected award from the hospitalist group at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in July 2019. Helping them know what to expect and being open about what we know and don't know as medical providers are my priorities. In my practice, I believe we need to always think about the specific patient and family in order to deliver the best medical care. I’m also part of the team that helps care for adult patients who need to be admitted to Cincinnati Children's for specific reasons. I care for children who are inpatients at Cincinnati Children’s and inpatient adults at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. I am board certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine.

She has chronic medical issues that began in adolescence. I was inspired to pursue medicine as a career by seeing my family deal with medical problems and uncertainty with my sister.
